The Location
Llanwrtyd Wells is the smallest town in Britain (population 604 at the last census) and is in an area of mid-Wales where the pace of life has changed little since the drovers used to drive their flocks of sheep across the mountains. This area of the southern Cambrian Mountains is often called the 'Welsh Lake District' because of its similarity to the English lakes. Llanwrtyd is also know for some of its special events. These include the Man V Horse race, held every year in June where up to 40 horses take on runners across a 22 mile course and the annual World Bog Snorkelling Championships!
The Hotel
The Neuadd Arms Hotel lies at the heart of of the town, and is comfortable bright hotel with it's own Bell Bar where you can sample some tasty ales. In the summer months the outside terrace is a great little area in which to enjoy the sunshine and stunning mountains around you. The hotel is run by Lindsay and Jackie, nothing you ask is too much trouble, they make everyone feel like part of the family. Having been in Llanwrtyd Wells for many years they know the area very well.
