Location
Aside from being one of the best and most beautiful islands in Europe, Mallorca has a lot more to see and explore. From Monastries and churches to castles and cathedrals. Mountain villages, caves, Palma Old Town, restaurants, bars and of course beaches. The peaceful village of Santa Ponsa is on the West coast of Mallorca about 20 minutes drive from Palma airport.
As well as soaking up the sun and the sea we've lined up a range of activities to keep you occupied as well as plenty of free time for you to laze around on the beach. Activities offered in our packages include mountain bike, hiking, kayaking and snorkelling (kayaking and snorkelling are only offered between May and October).
You'll be staying at the 3 star Hotel Pionero just a hundred yards from the beach. Just a few minutes walk from the hotel is the centre of Santa Ponsa Mallorca with some very lively bars and clubs. The adjacent beach area then caters for every watersports activity such as water skiing, set skiing, paragliding and diving. Santa Ponsa is just a short taxi or bus ride from the glamorous, lively town of Palma. This historical town offers a vibrant city experience with the advantage of a seafront, an old town and an excellent mix of shops, culture and gastronomy.
Free Days
We urge you to enjoy the island in your free time. There are some lovely places away from the resort which are worth seeing. Few tourists venture away from the comfort of the pool/beach but if you do you’ll get more from this trip.
Be sure to get a map from the hotel or even better a guide book with map from the book shop/tobacconist at the end of the street. The North West part of the Island that you are staying at is great for walking and cycling. In fact a bike lane runs all the way from Peguerra just West of Santa Ponsa all the way to Palma.
